Cherry Hill East Music Boosters Meeting

February 16, 2026

 

Meeting called to order by Tracey Hofmann at 7:03 PM.

Attendees: Linda Collazo, Jason Gallagher, Tracey Hofmann, Howard Megdal, and Tim Keleher.

 

Minutes from the January 12, 2026 meeting approved.

 

Music Department Reports

 

• The Footloose musical performances held in the next few weeks will be the last shows held in the Cherry Hill East auditorium before it is closed for renovations.

 

Vocal Department

 

• Coffee House we be held April 25 from 7 pm to 10 pm in the in the Cherry Hill East Cafeteria. Some questions regarding recording in the cafeteria compared to the old auditorium. 

• The Spring Choral concert will be held May 21 at 7 pm at Cherry Hill West’s auditorium.

• Senior Solo night will be held June 10 at 7 pm in the Cherry Hill East cafeteria.

 

Instrumental Department

 

• String quartets will be attending a Master class with Ms. Mandescu at Rowan University on February 14.

• Jazz Band will be performing at several elementary and middle schools to demonstrate student achievement and spark interest in instrumental performance to younger students.

• A Lab Band showcase will be held on February 9.

• Jazz Band will perform at the Jazz at Lincoln Center festival at Temple on March 3.

• All South Jersey Jazz auditions will be held on March 16.

• Jazz Band will attend the Berks Jazz Festival in Reading on March 24.

• Lab Band will attend festivals on April 10, April 17, and April 24.

• The date of the Chamber Groups concert has been changed to April 15. It will be held at 7 pm in the East Little Theater.

• The Spring Instrumental Concert will be held on April 30 at Cherry Hill West’s auditorium at 7 pm.

 

Membership Report/ Treasurer Report

 

• Membership numbers total 90. There are fewer Silver members this year compared to last year. Premium and Gold numbers are the same.

• Premium Members will receive a printed photo of their child in the performing group of their choice.

• Venmo fees for concessions sales discussed.

• The flipbook for the Spring Concerts will be portrait style.

• The Treasurer Report was sent as an email addendum on February 20, 2026.

 

Adjournment/ Next Meeting

 

• Next meeting to be held on Monday, March 16, 2026 at 7 PM.

• Cherry Hill East Music Booster meetings to be held on the 3rd Monday of each month of the school year.

• Meeting adjournment at 7:48 pm.
