Music Boosters Meeting Notes

Cherry Hill East Music Boosters Meeting

 

Meeting called to order by Tracey Hofmann at 7:00 PM.

 

Attendees: Seth Mirowitz, Kristine Clark, Jodi Gorenberg, Ted Wallach, Tracey Hofmann, and Tim Keleher.

 

Announcements:

• Succession Planning for 2027-28 School Year

  • Music Boosters is looking for interested members to take over the office of Treasurer and President for next school year.

  • If interested in the Treasurer position, please contact Jason Gallagher at jasoncg878@gmail.com.

  • If interested in the President position, please contact Tracey Hofmann at heldt2002@yahoo.com.

Status Updates:

• Marching Band – Jodi Gorenberg

  • Two more competitions for the year!

  • Rosa assembly on Friday, October 23, 2026.

  • The Marching Band will perform as a pep band only at Friday’s football game.

  • Upcoming Events –

    • Marching Band Banquet – November 2, 2026 6-8 PM

    • Hayride – TBD

  • Jodi will send out call for photos from parents for the banquet slide show.

  • Challenge this year getting volunteers & donations. New plans are in the works for next year with Seth and Jodi working together.

• Ensembles/Instrumental – Mr. Timothy Keleher

  • Back to School night saw the debut of the Jazz Strings Ensemble.

  • Jazz Standards will perform at the Fraternal Order of Police banquet on December 14. The banquet will benefit disadvantaged kids.

  • Mr. Keleher and Mrs. Lausi are working on December dates for middle school visits.

  • December 18 – Jazz Assembly

  • December 16 – Chamber Music Ensemble at the Cherry Hill Public Library.

  • Newly Renovated Auditorium – On track for January opening. (fingers crossed)

• President – Tracey Hofman

  • Music Booster T-shirts will be brought to the banquet and our next Booster meeting to give to members who need to pick them up.

  • Ideas for fundraising and bringing in volunteers always welcome.

  • New Auditorium name plate fund-raising idea – Tracey brought to Dr. Cafagna and has not heard back from him yet.

  • Fundraising for specific goals is effective – like the choral trip or band trips.

  • Intern/New Position for Social Media – Research needs to be done on what requirements are in place, as well as guidelines set-up.

  • Ramp up to D-Wing – The school needs to fix the ramp, since whatever entity makes the repair is liable for any injuries, etc. Can Jodi or Mr. Palmer talk to Facilities or Dr. Cafagna to make this happen?

  • Dine & Donate numbers will be in for next meeting.
