Cherry Hill East Music Boosters Meeting

Meeting called to order by Tracey Hofmann at 7:05 PM.

Attendees: Linda Collazo, Tracey Hofmann, Tim Keleher, Seth Mirowitz, and Debbie Ottenberg.

 

April 21, 2025 meeting minutes approved. 

 

Music Department Reports

 

Marching Band

• The Marching Band drum majors have been selected and introduced.

• The Marching Band show for the 2025 season has been voted on and selected by the students. This new show is set to original music. 

• Hofmann has researched banners for senior marching band members and the final decision is to go with the company that currently creates banners for East football and cheerleaders.

• Mr. Palmer will reach out to the athletic department to communicate and coordinate the plan for marching band senior banners for the 2025 season.

 

Instrumental

• The Bands and Orchestra and Jazz Bands concerts were successfully held on April 30 and May 1 at CHE.

• The Symphony Orchestra earned first place with a rating of Superior at the Symphony Orchestra Festival at Council Rock South High School on May 9.  

• Due to the scheduled renovations of the East auditorium next school year, the Spring Instrumental concerts will be combined into one concert to be held at West.

• The Spring Instrumental concerts will continue to be held before May AP and standardized testing begins to avoid conflicts for student scholars.

• Plans and rehearsals underway for graduation performances.

 

Vocal Department

• Choral Concert to be held at CHE on May 21 at 7:30 PM.

• The Coffee House Go 4 the Goal fundraiser was held successfully on April 26.

 

Membership Report/ Treasurer Report

• One new Alumni membership and one new donation.  Memberships for 2024-2025 totaled 110.  Fourteen donations were also collected.

• Teachers are choosing the winners of the senior music awards and the 6 scholarships funded by the Boosters. Checks to go the main office for disbursement when awarded.

• Consideration of ending printed programs and going to a completely digital format discussed.

• The concerts schedule for next school year is nearing completion.

 

Adjournment/ Next Meeting

• Next meeting to be scheduled in the summer.

• East Music Booster meetings to be held on the 3rd Monday of each month of the school year.

• Meeting adjournment at 7:58 PM.
