Cherry Hill East Music Boosters Meeting

December 15, 2025

 

Meeting called to order by Tracey Hofmann at 7:00 PM.

Attendees: Christine Clarke, Linda Collazo, Mandy Francoeur, Jodi Gorenberg, Tracey Hofmann, and Tim Keleher.

 

Minutes from November 17, 2025 meeting approved.

 

Music Department Reports

Instrumental Department

 

• Forty-six CHE students were selected into the All-South Jersey Band and Orchestra. Congratulations!

• All-South Jersey Jazz auditions will take place in March.

• On December 11 Jazz Standards and the Chamber Music Groups performed a successful holiday concert at the Cherry Hill Public Library.

• Jazz Standards along with CHE and CHW vocal groups performed at the Cherry Hill FOP Holiday party for underprivileged children December 15 in the morning.

• The Winter Instrumental Concert will be held on December 18 at 7pm.

• Professional violinist Michael Ludwig will perform with the Symphony Orchestra in a John Williams version of a Fiddler on the Roof medley at the Winter Concert. The CHE Music Boosters will supply an honorarium for Mr. Ludwig.

• Jazz Band will perform concerts at four Cherry Hill elementary schools; Bret Harte, Johnson, Horace Mann, and Woodcrest.

• The Jazz Band’s performance of Chuck Mangione’s Oscar winning music from the movie The Children of Sanchez, was such a big hit at the Fall Preview Concert, it will be reprised at the Winter Instrumental Concert.  Truly a performance not to be missed!

• An Eastside photographer has been arranged to take pictures of each group after their performance at the Winter Instrumental Concert for yearbook and CHEMB Premium membership gifts.

• The Spring Instrumental and Choral Concerts will be held at Cherry Hill West due to the auditorium being unavailable due to much needed renovations.

• It is expected that the East auditorium will reopen in January 2027.

 

Vocal Department

 

• Bells of East and Voce are performing at multiple holiday events including:

  • December 7 - Cherry Hill Winter Festival was successfully held at Croft Farm;

  • December 13 – Bethel Coffee House was held;

  • December 15 – This morning performed for the Friends of Police Holiday Party for underprivileged children along with Jazz Standards and CH West Singers;

  • December 17 – Philadelphia Christmas Village, performance at 6pm;

  • December 19 – Haddonfield Candlelight Shopping, caroling from 6:30 to 8:30pm;

  • Multiple Caffe Aldo Lamberti performances – Voce Quintets will perform for the dining patrons between 6:15 and 9pm. 

• The Winter Choral Concert will be held at CH East on January 15, 2026 at 7pm.

• A parent videographer has volunteered to video Vocal concerts and performances.

• Cherry Hill East will host a 2026 International Championship of High School A Cappella (ICHSA) quarterfinal competition on Saturday, January 24, 2026.

• Stay Tuned will perform in the ICHSA quarterfinal competition at CHE on January 24.

• Coffee House will be held on April 25, 2026.

 

Marching Band

 

• The Marching Band season came to an official end after performances at Rosa and Beck Middle Schools.

• Marching Band uniforms will be sent out for cleaning and stored for next season.

 

Membership Report/ Treasurer Report

 

• Membership and treasurer numbers are close to last year’s numbers.

• Zell and Venmo for Business discussed as possible alternatives to Stripe in search of a less expensive and easier platform to accept membership purchases and donations.

• Sign Up Genius will go out for volunteers for the Winter Choral Concert.

• Possible future fundraising ideas discussed.

 

Adjournment/ Next Meeting

 

• Next meeting to be held on Monday, January 12, 2026 at 7 PM, due to the conflict with the Martin Luther King, Jr. holiday held on the 3rd Monday in January.

• Cherry Hill East Music Booster meetings to be held on the 3rd Monday of each month of the school year.

• Meeting adjournment at 7:48pm.
